The new 2014/33/EU Lifts Directive was published two years ago and from April 2016 it replace the old 95/16/EC Directive published back in 1995.

The new one includes some Reccomendations and Decisions of the European Committee as accreditation and notification rules for the Notified Bodies and the disposals relevant to the various economic subjects involved in the marketing of safety components (manufacturers, importers, distributors etc.), due to the growing globalisation in their filed of manufacturing and marketing.
